Parish Groups

We have several groups here for parishioners of St. Michael's and St. Dominic's. Through these groups, we form community and strengthen each other in our Faith, growing together in love of God and neighbor. Please consider joining any of the following:

- St. Michael's and St. Dominic's Adult Faith Formation Group (AFF)

This is a group of adult men and women (18+ ages welcome) who wish to explore their Catholic faith through weekly meetings on various topics.  We hold courses that run between 4-8 weeks long and have specific Lenten and Advent courses each year during the season.  Additionally, in between courses we show Catholic-related movies or listen to audio talks on the faith.  We meet at a local parishioner’s home on Thursday evenings from 6-8:30pm. Each session begins with a potluck dinner from 6-7pm and the topic begins after that.  We have fun, friendship and faith!

Please contact Cheryl Kerwin at 240-304-9351 (text or call) for more information.

- St. Dominic's Ladies' Sodality

Any ladies high school age and up who attend the mission of St. Dominic are eligible to join the sodality. The Ladies' Sodality mission is to promote devotion, reverence, and worship of Jesus through our Blessed Mother and to further encourage the daily practice of Christian living in our community and Church family. The purpose of the sodality is to serve and support the activities & programs of the Church. The sodality shall promote and sponsor helpful community activities for the good of the community and continue to educate its members. The organized activities vary according to year, but the sodality consistently supports the parish food pantry and the elderly and need of the parish, particularly as regards their participation in parish dinners, etc. If you are interested in learning more, please call the parish office at (240)681-3551.

- WAF (World Apostolate of Fatima) Blue Army Prayer Cell ( for Men and Women)

The Blue Army Prayer Cell meets once a month, on 1st Saturdays. We gather for 8 AM Mass and the First Saturday devotions, and then go over to the parish hall for a light breakfast and our meeting. As members of the Blue Army, we learn about the message of Our Lady of Fatima and support each other in living out her requests daily. If you love the Blessed Mother, we encourage you to attend a meeting to learn more. FIAT Women's Group

FIAT is an apostolate of friendship and spiritual growth for women in their 20s, 30s, and 40s. If you are looking for a community of like-minded Catholic women to walk with you through the messy, blessed journey you are on, consider joining us on the first and third Saturdays of each month at 9:30 in the morning. For more information please text or call Rosa Patterson at (240) 682-9916.

- WINGS Young Adult Group (for those in their 20s and 30s)

WINGS stand for Worship - Intercession - Nourishment - Great friendships - and Service. We come together on different days of the week, depending on what event is scheduled. For example, if we're having adoration and a game or movie night, we may hold the event on a weeknight. If we're going on a hike or doing a service project together, we'll most likely meet over the weekend.
